REV. REGINALD ANTONIO ELMORE

Reginald Antonio Elmore is a home grown native of Lake City, SC. “Elmore” as he is affectionately called is the son of Mamie J. Elmore and the late Willie Herman Elmore. He is a graduate of Lake City High School where he excelled in both academics and athletics. He was a talented baseball player and continues to enjoy the game dubbed as America’s favorite pastime.
Elmore was saved at the tender age of 19 and was subsequently baptized. At the age of 21, he answered the call to the Gospel Ministry. In January 1989, he was issued a licensed to preach the Gospel. Since answering his call, his vocational trajectory has led him down a path that God predestined. In 1990, he was ordained by Nettie’s Temple First Born Church of the Living God.
Rev. Elmore loves the Lord and has a servant’s heart. At the start of his ministry, he received training and gained invaluable experiences at the East Lake City Holiness Church. He volunteered and served in several capacities that prepared him for the pastorate. He served as Youth Minister, Superintendent, Associate Minister and Pastored at St. Peter’s First Born Church, and served in this capacity for approximately seven years. Currently, he and his wife Clamentine V. Elmore are faithful and dedicated members of the Mount Clair Missionary Baptist Church in Lake City, SC.
Reverend Elmore has spent most of his adult life carrying out his vocation by serving in the parish ministry and his community at large. He is an anointed and gifted preacher, teacher, and vocalist. He is regarded as the peoples’ pastor. He has a tremendous passion for service and he loves the people of God. His love for God and his service to the church and the people of God has been largely influenced by his beloved grandmothers the late Deaconess Mamie L. Hannah and Mother Eva Howard Elmore, women after God’s own heart.
Reverend Elmore has been blessed to be born into a loving and devoted Christian family and community that encouraged his faith. In fact, he attributes his early spiritual formation and Christian education to his late grandmother, Deaconess Mamie L. Hannah and the late Reverend Willie J. Hall, Bethel Baptist Church, Brooklyn, NY. Their examples of service, stewardship and leadership shaped and informed his ministerial identity, provided the spiritual tools and the endurance to run this race.

Reverend Elmore believed that God has called him to bear witness to the people of God that he has been entrusted to shepherd, lead, love, feed, nurture, and steer all God’s people in the ways of God and teaching of Jesus Christ.

Elmore’s leadership, he ushered many saints into the fold, provided sound preaching, biblical teaching, baptized and trained many disciples, performed weddings, preached funerals, provided prayer, pastoral counseling, visitations administrative support; presided over the sacred Ordinances of Communion and Baptism. Moreover, Rev. Elmore has served as a Supply Preacher in the states of Georgia and South Carolina.
In addition to his divine call to God’s service, he has had a career in law enforcement and successfully completed the requirements and graduated from the SC State Police Academy. Subsequently, he served as member of the Lake City Police and the Kingstree Police Department. He attended and graduated from the Nelson Electronic Institute, Charleston, SC and served as a Lead Trainer. Rev. Elmore has enjoyed a thriving career as an entrepreneur. He has launched several successful business ventures including A&M Trucking Company, where he serves as the owner and operator.
Revered Elmore’s favorite scripture is Hebrews 12:1 “Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us”. Revered Elmore is married to the lovely and charming Clamentine V. Elmore and they have two adoring children: Bre Grace and Brayden Troy Melvin.
